Our memory impaired unit, known as Shelter Pointe, is a self-contained, secure unit that provides care and treatment for patients with dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. This specialized unit is available in all Caring Place Healthcare Group facilities in Cincinnati and Dayton. The first visit to our facility, you will appreciate how much care has been given to creating a warm, home-like setting for our residents. Comfort and safety, as well as the peace of mind of their families, is our paramount concern at all times.
Admission to Shelter Pointe can be from home, hospital, assisted living or a rehab center. We first meet with the family and complete an evaluation with their loved one to determine their needs. Our hopes are that getting to know more about them can help make a smooth transition into our memory care unit.
