Remarkable Acts of Kinds: These are things I’m Thankful for

November 22, 2021

Dear Friends:

This week we celebrate Thanksgiving. Traditionally, Thanksgiving has been one of my favorite holidays. I love to gather with friends and family; watch football; and of course, eat turkey, stuffing, green beans, and pumpkin pie. The past 20 months have presented many challenges in finding reasons to be Thankful. However, over the same period, I’ve witnessed so many remarkable acts of kindness between fellow team members, on behalf of our residents, and towards our families. I’ve observed the ways in which we care for one another and support one another. These are the things that I’m grateful for this Thanksgiving.

I consider it an honor and a privilege that our families trust us to care for their loved ones. For many of our team members, it’s a calling to care for the most frail and vulnerable in our communities. We work together to ensure our residents have great experiences and achieve good (desired) outcomes. We are not perfect, but our promise to you is that we plan, execute, evaluate, and adjust so that we’re always moving closer to the “perfect” experience.

This Thanksgiving, I want to express my sincere gratitude for the ways in which you partner with our team members to ensure your loved one gets the care she (or he) so richly deserves. We’re so grateful for your support and loyalty. I wish you a day of feasting, laughing, and loving one another.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Warm Regards,

Chase M. Kohn, COO
