Caring Place Healthcare Group Earns Preferred Provider Status with TriHealth Systems

July 2018 – Caring Place Healthcare Group is proud to announce they have earned the status of being a preferred provider for the TriHealth System of hospitals in the Cincinnati market. “All of our locations have worked with hospital discharge planners, doctors and administration for years and they know they can count on quality care from us. Our nursing and rehab centers strive for outstanding patient care and this has been reflected by consistently meeting and exceeding their requirements,” explain Chase Kohn, Chief Operating Officer for Caring Place Healthcare Group.

All four of Caring Place’s Cincinnati nursing and rehab facilities have earned this coveted recognition, including:

  • Glendale Place Nursing & Rehab Center on Glendale Milford Rd. in Cincinnati
  • Sanctuary Pointe Nursing & Rehab Center on Hamilton Ave. in Cincinnati
  • The Lodge Nursing & Rehab Center on Union Cemetery Rd. in Cincinnati
  • Western Hills Nursing & Rehab Center on Cleves-Warsaw Pike in Cincinnati

With increasing frequency, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) are being forced to compete for a desired place on a hospital’s list of “preferred facilities”. To be considered a preferred provider, all facilities are rigorously reviewed by Tri-Health in five categories: Orthopedic care, Cardiac care, Pulmonary care, Wound care and Infectious Disease. These preferred facilities are accepted based on a host of outcome data from state health reports and Medicare quality measures, including length of stay and readmission rates, in addition to questionnaires and interviews from the hospital.

If a facility meets the criteria in all categories and has shown advanced quality outcomes, they are selected to be on their top list of preferred providers they recommend to patients upon discharge for post-acute care. Skilled Nursing Facilities are highly scrutinized by not only the state and local agencies but also by local hospitals. “It’s a really big honor and testament to our nursing staff and administrators who work tirelessly to ensure every patient and family we serve receives nothing but the best care. We have served thousands of families for over 30 years and our reputation is known in the communities we serve. Being on TriHealth’s preferred provide list is another recognition that families can feel confident their loved one is going to a place with such high standards of care,” Mr. Kohn added.
